The water off Saint Augustine Florida start’s warming up especially along the Gulfstream. This means Mahi wahoo tuna fish sailfish and even blue marlin can be caught the month of April and May. The bottom fishing on Wrecks can also be productive this time of year for Cobia and Black Sea bass. Cobia is one of my favorite eating fish , almost like the steak of the sea. I like to use live bait or jigs to catch them but you really never know what they’re going to eat. I cut the stomach open on hundreds of Cobia and seen about every bait, crab, and small fish that swims in there bellies.
