Good evening from Drop Down Sport Fish Charters in the beautiful city Saint Augustine Florida. This offshore fishing report for Saint Augustine Florida is at 7pm. Other than hurricane season September and October are some of my favorite months for offshore fishing. The water starts to cool off just a few degrees which brings a few new pelagic fish back around to our offshore waters. Drop Down Sport Fish Charters knows when and where to go deepsea fishing at different times of year. A lifetime resident of St. Augustine Florida I have mastered our fishery from offshore to inshore. One of the pelagic offshore fish that I like to target in the fall, and winter months is cobia. They are very good to eat, and pound for pound one of the best fighting fish around. Also known as the brown clown these fish can have a mind of there own, by circling the boat but not eating a bait in sight , to throwing anything in the water and they’ll chew it. You just never know how they’ll act. A nice spinning rod with a medium size bucktail jig is a good start. Pull up to a big wreck and start fishing, throw out a few casts on top of the structure, retrieve the jig with a snap and pull back and fourth creating a swimming action. If you and your family or group is coming to Saint Augustine Florida in the next few months and want to go on a offshore fishing charter with Drop Down Sport Fish Charters give us a call at 9045018572 and let’s go fishing!!!
