Good afternoon from Drop Down Sport Fish Charters here in the beautiful city Saint Augustine Florida. The weather is currently very sunny and hot with temperatures in the high 98 degrees. Late August in St. Augustine Florida is hot but the offshore fishing is too. Still a lot of pelagic species swimming around like king fish cobia and occasionally even a wahoo. Trolling live bait on the local bigger wrecks that hold bait can be very productive. Even bottom fishing offshore for snapper with a flat line out the back can catch fish too.

That’s cold for a Florida boy born and raised. The seas are 4-5 foot out of the northeast with a 20knt winds. Choppy and crappy out for a few more days and it’s should lay down for the weekend.
