Good afternoon from Drop Down Sport Fish Charters here in the oldest city in the nation Saint Augustine Florida. The weather here is currently 66° partly cloudy and very breezy with 20 knot winds out of the north seas 5 to 7 feet choppy. The offshore fishing charters here in Saint Augustine have been a little bit funky the last week or so with some cold dirty water lingering around. I have had some shorter offshore fishing charters this past week and the small chicken snapper have taken over. We caught 100+ red snapper and only 11 Vermilion snapper. Red snapper are definitely not endangered and I wish the Fwc and Noaa fisheries would take more action and give us a longer season than 3-5 days of open season. Offshore fishing charters at the Gulfstream in St.Augustine will start getting good and the pelagics like sail fish, wahoo, tuna fish, mahi and even blue marlin will be passing by us any day. Deep sea fishing charters for Cobia should also be getting better. Always have multiple ways to catch cobia and amberjack or other pelagics that could swim up. If your looking to go offshore fishing in St.Augustine Florida give Drop Down Sport Fish Charters a call and let’s go fishing!!
